Yes. But only for small/individual pies.
I am fairly certain they have some Contes swag, shirts and such that can be purchased at the register.
If they are really busy they will tell you sorry, try later. They only take a certain number of take out orders per hour, if you make the cut you've got the best pizza in NJ coming to you. This is coming from a long time Princeton resident and Conti's fan!
Yes
Yes, but it closes 1 hour 30 minutes earlier. It is open from 11:30AM-9PM on Mondays instead of 11:30AM-10:30PM
Not that long. They take orders in advance only if you are waiting for a table.
No...
Nope. Just make sure that you can wait if they are busy.
No same place
This is pretty much just a pizza joint, but they do it very well. They do have a couple pasta dishes and some sandwiches but bartender said to stick with the pizza.
Great place if you want good pizza in a friendly and comfortable atmosphere. They serve thin (almost crispy) crust pizza and you can choose toppings for your pizza. Surprisingly I enjoyed their spaghetti so much, maybe more than the pizza! The tomato sause was simple but good, and the bread alongside the pasta was amazing!
Contes is a staple in Princeton. I've been going there since my days of little league baseball. Our coach would take us there after a big game or championship. My grandparents and my parents would frequent Contes as well. Love the food and staff. I will always go to Contes and have a great pizza pie as my wife and I do now.
A favorite known for pizza.. Does not look like much but typically crowded as been popular for a long time and also has faithful customers. Like their pizza with pepperoni.
Tried the gluten free pizza, not only was it disgusting but it was a small 10 inch pie for a whopping 15 bucks. Come on, either make the dough from scratch or don't sell things labeled gluten free only to consume warm cardboard. Thanks!
The best Pizza in the Princeton area hands down. Pizza is thin crust well done, the pepperoni is authentic Italian and is by far their best topping. They have a full bar and specialize in generous pours of Italian wines. Place gets crowded and is no frills but people are there for the best pizza. my wife and I have a standing date their on Friday nights...
World class pizza spot straight from Ischia Italy. Conte's is legendary. For those who don't know the dining room was a former bocce court. It has been ranked top 10 pizzerias in the United States. If you want the best thin crust come here. Tony makes the sausage and has been doing it for 40 years. If you want old school best in show pizza this is the place. I live local and have had out of state visitors come specifically to Princeton to get this pizza. For those that debate Dilorenzos or Pappas is the best.....hmmmm....Conte's hands down....I have eaten pizza all over the world and Conte's takes the prize for the best pie I have ever had. L&B Spumoni Gardens takes 2nd in Brooklyn.Viva Contes.
Old school, thin-crust pizza. Highly recommend. A little pricey but you are paying for Princeton
Great atmosphere and great pizza, just a bit disorganized trying to pick up on a busy weekend
owned up to a mistake.Great pizza and very professional.
Very good thing crust pizza. No menu. Only have traditional pizzas
Order a thin crust pie ( they only do thin crust pies) and a drink and hob nob with friendly staff. Great recipe for a long day after work.
Nice local pizza and bar place. We hold our work team outings here.
Legendary Princeton pizzeria with the area's best pepperoni pie. Don't expect to order bacon, chicken, ranch pie...only the classics. And they are classics. Enjoy!
Best pizza we’ve had in a while. It is a very thin crust but has a bit of a crunch to it. Amazing! The pepperoni was thick, probably sliced my hand. The place was packed but service is quick. Everyone is like a family making it a very comfortable space. Highly recommend!
Always a great time here. Very nostalgic pizza place with full, full bar service. Pizza is hot, hot when comes out and delicious. Don't be shy here and enjoy your time!
This installation in P-ton is a timeless classic. Been going here for forty years with only changes being the pictures of more current Azzuri squads. Love the pepperoni they use on the pies. Little cups of oily heaven and well done to perfection. Perfect compliment to an icy bottle of beer! Thanks Contes for holding with tradition.
A Princeton institution. Once you get a table, the service is quick, unobtrusive, and on point. Pizza is pretty good, too. Getting a table though... be glad the bar is also very quick. Ample parking!
There's so much to love about this place. The second you walk in you have to admire the fact that they have never needed to update the interior or chase trends, instead you can look at pictures of all the local youth sports teams that they sponsor or watch whatever live games are on at the moment. There is a full bar with your average macro beers, cheap wine and booze. The pepperoni pizza is unparalleled in the area, no question. Very thin and super-crisp crust, great sauce, perfectly cupped pepperoni. Expect a wait most nights if you're eating in.
Mmmm the pepperoni. Hadn’t been here in years but it was just as good as I remembered from 10+ years ago.
Best thin crust pizza anywhere. Much better hot so eat it there. Not as good the next day but, hey, even bad pizza is good.
Best pizza ever! No frills.
Friendly place with a really good thin crust pizza and beer. Not much else you need to ask for.
The pizza you get here is somewhat unique. Not quite a classic neopolitan style and miles away from a tradition wood burning stove tomato pie. A very enjoyable slice, nonetheless.
Nice casual pizza and pasta bar. The sauce is the right level of sweet. It gets crowded at night so go early if you can.
Great thin crust pizza. Order well done if you like it crunchy
Stop in earlier today place was pack Awesome old fashion bar / pizzeria Very good pizza here little flop on it slices Taste was very good Tony baloney from Tri-state area pizzerias score 8.1 👍
Let me start by saying I love contes. I’ve been coming for ten years and today I came with my 1 year old daughter for the first time since her birth. I requested a high chair and was sat without one. The waitress came to take our order and I again, requested a high chair. She told us that they don’t have one. What family friendly restaurant doesn’t have high chairs?! Do they realize that they lost our business AND we won’t be back (if we come back at all) until she is old enough to sit in her own chair? This is the first restaurant I’ve ever come across that doesn’t offer a chair for a child. I’m appalled with the lack of accommodation.
I love this place. If you like very thin crest pizza this is the restaurant for you. I love the history and how they can do lunch for a party of 28 without blinking an eye.
Very unassuming decor, oddly MASSIVE bar that takes up half of the place and cheapo tables and chairs. But it still gets 5 stars. The food, generous pours (both wine and beer) and specifically the pizza were just incredible. Can’t believe I’ve lived in the area so long without visiting!Note: Peroni on tap never hurts :)
Best pizza ever! Highly recommend. Service was excellent. Friendly atmosphere. Casual dress.
Best pizza in Princeton, period. No frills.
Consistent Good Pizza. Usually always have the plain and peppers & onions. If you have the plain well done, it will be nice and crisp.
The best pizza in NJ
Great pizza spot after a princeton hockey game!
Delicious! The pepperoni is amazing
Great pizza. Cozy ambiance
Great thin crust pizza
Best pizza in Princeton .. I love their Crust and cute retro style
Pretty good pizza has that thin crust crunch and quality ingredients
two days ago was our first time we came to that fine restaurant. But It is surely not the last time. We enjoyed the evening a lot with the good service, with the high quality meal and booze and with the honest charge. We will definitely return there soon.
As always, Conti's never disappoints. The pepperoni is special. And the sausage and peppers pizza is killer. Kinda like a bar pie crust but just much more. I recommend highly!
*Decent pie, not mind blowing but good. Generous wine pours and decent service.
I can't believe I've never heard of this place. Best thin crust pizza around, fresh ingredients, pepperoni, sausage. Nice friendly staff, and they have a full bar too!
Good pizza, David the bar server is very friendly. He makes you feel welcome.
A delicious thin crust, fresh dough, well prepared toppings, kind service, and a spacious interior. Beautiful visit.
Located in quiet residential neighborhood, this pizzeria was very crowded. The pizza was great, they also serve beer and wine
Have been loving contes pizza for a very long time. When we lived in the area, we went often. And my 4 boys were born in the old princeton hospital and my husband brought contes pizza to me each time. The crust is thin and the taste is right on. The service is great and the drinks are tasty. Love this place. Even though it hasn't changed in decor since the ice age. But that's what makes it even more special. Got to try this one at least once if your in the area.
Best pepperoni pizza ever! Best pizza place I’ve ever had. Take out is no where near as good as dining in for some reason.
